Description
Pseudotropheus
demasoni like all Malawian fish, comes from hard, alkaline water
ranging in pH from 7.6-8.6. It is found among rocks. A relatively
new introduction into the hobby. It is a dwarf mbuna fiercely
aggressive to its own species. Extremely active with both black
strips on a blue body.
Despite its small size, it is mean and can
easily dominate bigger tank mates. Housed them with similar
mbunas or fishes that are much bigger. Best to keep them in a
over-crowded single species tank with plenty of hiding places with
1-3 males and many females.
Provide
a flat rock or two for the breeding to take place.
